Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting as an anchor at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was an anchor and morning reporter on WCBD TV. The journalist's report on the lack of response of the police in response to DUI incidents in Charleston led to an investigation conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, which resulted in a new policy from state officials regarding DUI cases.
